Chick-fil-A Market Salad (Copycat)

Chick-fil-A Market Salad with seasoned sliced chicken, blue cheese, apples, strawberries, blueberries, granola and walnuts with an apple cider vinaigrette..

Chick-fil-A is best known for their deliciously unique Chick-fil-A Nuggets and Lemonade but I’ve been completely won over by this delicious salad.

What is in a Chick-fil-A Market Salad?

Berries and blue cheese are basically my happy place this summer and this Chick-fil-A Market Salad is the perfect summer salad. No croutons, we’ve got walnuts and granola instead (which makes me feel healthier) and instead of tomatoes we’ve got berries.

This salad may be different than most you are used to. In fact the first bite may even be one  you pause to see if you enjoy. But I guarantee you finish this salad if you give it a try.

A delicious and easy apple cider vinaigrette with granola and walnuts that don’t get soggy like croutons do, you’ll love the crunch of the salad and the softness and sweetness of the berries. The blue cheese add a delicious creamy and rich element.

Chick-fil-A Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette

  • 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  1. Add ingredients to a closed container and shake well until combined.

Chick fil A Berry Salad

The chicken is presented in an interesting way. Chick-fil-A slices it’s grilled chicken for salads VERY thinly. To recreate this I refrigerate the chicken after cooking. With a sharp knife, the chicken is so easy to slice thinly.

Salads at Chick-fil-A are a healthy option and easy, but they’re also rather expensive. With just a bit of prep work you can make a large bowl of this salad for a summer bbq or picnic without spending nearly as much money. Plus you won’t be tempted by the crazy delicious lemonade and waffle fries.

Can you make this Chick-fil-A Market Salad ahead of time?

ABSOLUTELY!
  • Add the ingredients to the dressing in a small covered jar and keep it in the fridge.
  • Cook the chicken and let it cool before slicing.
  • When assembling add the rest of the ingredients, slice the chicken thinly and shake the dressing before pouring.

  1. My family loved this salad and salad dressing. It was definitely a good imitation to the Chick-fil-a Market Salad.

    1. I’m not familiar with that diet so I would recommend checking the ingredients online to see if they’re compliant or if there needs to be any substitutions. Good luck!

    2. The honey and granola aren’t keto friendly. There is keto friendly granola of u search hard enough. Not sure what u will do for the honey. ????

  2. Do the nutrition facts include the dressing? Always one of our favorites but as you point out too expensive to but it every day. Can you make it all up several days ahead and divide it into different bags and take a bag with you and put it in a bowl at work?

    1. Yes, the nutrition facts include the dressing. I would suggest keeping the dressing separate until you’re ready to eat but splitting up the salad into containers for meal prep would definitely work. Enjoy!

  3. Great recipe! This is one of my favorite salads. I added a tbsp of dijon mustard to the dressing, fresh lemon/lime juice and fresh minced garlic. Delicious! Thanks for this.

  4. I eat this salad anytime I’m near a Chic-Fil-A, but unfortunately, the closest Chic-Fil-A is about 2.5 hours from where I live. I’m so glad my cravings for this salad can be put to rest since I can make it at home now. Delicious recipe and would highly recommend trying it for yourself.

  5. Thank you so much for posting this recipe! I travel quite a bit and this salad is my go to. Your recipe is spot on. I vacuum seal the fruit and nuts together and the chicken in a separate bag. Cheese goes in a ziploc. Put all in a gallon size bag and the salad is ready for any hungry family member! Everyone gives it a thumbs up, even my 16 year old baseball player says its delicious.
